A Board-certified Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist

Jaimie Maines, MD, is a board-certified Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist. She brings extensive experience caring for patients and families navigating high-risk and complex pregnancies. Her clinical interests include complex pregnancy care: fetal diagnosis of anomalies and growth disorders, maternal medical complications of pregnancy including diabetes, cardiac disease, and hypertensive disorders, as well as preconception counseling, prenatal genetic screening and diagnostic testing, and multiple gestations. At the heart of her practice is a commitment to providing compassionate, individualized care and ensuring that patients feel heard, supported, and included in decisions throughout their pregnancy.

A graduate of Penn State College of Medicine, Dr. Maines completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency and Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at Penn State. She also served for three years as an OB/GYN in the United States Air Force before returning to Pennsylvania and academic medicine. Throughout her career, she has remained deeply committed to medical education, mentorship, and improving the way healthcare professionals communicate with patients and families during some of their most vulnerable moments.

That passion also extends to her work as a member of the medical team of Jack’s Basket, a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating babies with Down syndrome. Dr. Maines is committed to helping educate healthcare professionals about delivering an unexpected diagnosis with compassion, empathy, and respect while ensuring that every family feels supported and patients’ individual values and choices are respected.

For Dr. Maines, caring for families is personal. She and her husband, Tim, are the parents of three children, Carter, Connor, and Quinn. Her own experiences as a mother have helped shape the physician she strives to be and have strengthened her belief that exceptional maternal fetal medicine care requires not only medical expertise, but also listening, honesty, compassion, and an understanding of each family’s individual story.

“I am truly excited to join Lancaster Maternal Fetal Medicine and become part of this community. Caring for patients during pregnancy is an incredible privilege, particularly when the journey becomes complicated or takes an unexpected turn. I want my patients to know that I will be there to listen, answer their questions, celebrate with them, and walk alongside them through the difficult moments. I am looking forward to bringing that philosophy of care to Lancaster and to becoming part of a practice that is so deeply committed to the families it serves.”
