Taking a Stand Against Racism

Lancaster MFM is joining the YWCA Race Against Racism  and you’re invited to be a part of our team, “Baby Steps,” as we join in the fun at Musser Park! Festivities begin on April 27 at 9 am in Musser Park in Lancaster City. The Lancaster Race Against Racism is the biggest and longest consecutively run race against racism in the country, and we are so proud to be a part of it!

All proceeds from the Race will support the Center for Racial and Gender Equity (CRGE) and  the Lancaster YWCA’s community programs of education, training, advocacy and change.

Lancaster MFM’s core values include dedicating ourselves to fighting racism and supporting equity wherever and whenever we can, so we will again be taking part in this important community event. Best of all, you don’t have to run at all! Join us with your kids for a fun walk with strollers, or have the kids do the fun run! You can even participate virtually by joining the team as a “Self-guided Race” participant. :)

From Lancaster YWCA’s site:

We know we have far to go on our journey to eliminate racism, but together we can make change.

Join with your community to name the need, unite with your friends, neighbors and coworkers, and create change. A 5K race cannot end racism but naming the need is vital, and every step we take together makes a difference. We will keep running until injustice is rooted out; institutions are transformed, and the world sees women, girls and people of color the way we do: Equal, Powerful, Unstoppable.
